Concrete Curbing Service Questions
.7a57bb7e.png)
What are the advantages to contiunous concrete curbing?
Concrete curbing is one of the most durable and reliable forms of landscape edging because it doesn’t rot, rust, bend, or break down the way wood, plastic, or metal edging eventually does. Once installed, it forms a continuous barrier that keeps grass from creeping into garden beds and creates a clean, defined edge for rock, mulch, and decorative materials. Its solid structure also helps maintain tidy lines and prevents materials from washing out or shifting over time.

Will the curbing equipement damage my property?
All of our curbing equipment is lightweight and compact, and every mix is moved by wheelbarrow, not heavy machinery. This keeps the installation gentle on your lawn. We take careful steps to protect the grass and surrounding landscape throughout the entire process so the only thing left behind is a clean, finished curb line.

How long does the process normally take?
A curbing installation is typically completed in one day, giving most homeowners a fast, clean upgrade with minimal disruption. Larger layouts, complex designs, or projects with multiple curves and transitions may take longer because they require more shaping, finishing, and curing time to ensure everything stays uniform and durable.

Is the curbing stained or painted on to the curbing?
The color is blended into the concrete while it’s being mixed, so the pigment becomes part of the material itself. Because the color runs all the way through the curb—not just on the surface—it won’t flake, peel, or wash off. This method also helps the curb keep its color much longer when exposed to sun, rain, and seasonal weather.

Is the curbing done in stages?
You can complete a curbing project in stages, but doing the entire layout at once is generally more cost‑effective. A full installation reduces repeat setup and mobilization, keeps labor more efficient, and ensures all sections are poured under the same conditions for a cleaner, more consistent look.

How long will the curbing last?
A properly installed concrete curb can last for many years with only minimal upkeep. It holds its shape, resists weathering, and stays looking clean as long as it’s kept free of debris and occasionally washed

Does curbing increase the value of my property?
Yes. Curbing will greatly improve the curb appeal of your property. Studies consistently show that homeowners are more likely to stay in — and feel satisfied with — a home when the landscaping is attractive and well cared for, because it creates a sense of pride and comfort in the space.

Do you reinforce the concrete with wire?
Yes. Concrete is naturally strong in compression but weak when it’s pulled or stretched. Adding stainless‑steel wire reinforces it, giving the curb much better tensile strength so it can handle movement, temperature changes, and ground shifts without cracking. The wire helps the extruded curb hold its shape, stay tighter as one continuous piece, and resist breaking under stress.
